The 3D Creator allows a user to create geometry on products that had no digital CAD documentation.  It allows you to quickly and easily reverse engineer a product.  Coupled with our other product offerings, you could, for example --- reverse engineer an automobile chair, surface and render the product showing new colors, add text or redesign the seam locations, and flatten it for cutting on a CNC cutter.  You can do all of this in around 30 minutes.  Of course, other applications would include using it as a large format measuring device to find hole locations in an autobody frame, making a model of the inside of a boat hull to fit casework against, digitizing stretchers or frame members of legacy designs that you would like to cut on CNC equipment, digitizing and lofting canvas for boat covers, etc.  The possibilities are endless.

If you are creating a template, 3D Creator can do it for you and give you the CAD files at the same time.

There are 2 types of digitizers --- point cloud and discreet point scanners.  The 3D Creator is a discreet point digitizer, meaning that it creates CAD points only where you tell it to by clicking a button on the stylus.  This allows you to quickly create border geometry, the create surface geometry allowing you to surface the product and see a true representation of the product you are working on.  There is typically no need to do additional CAD work on the project, because you collected only the data you needed... there is no decimation steps, cleanup of geometry etc.

The 3D Creator is designed to be portable and is shipped in an industrial wheeled travel case, allowing you to quickly move it from location to location depending on where your projects take you.  It weighs 47 lbs and is just under the airline checked baggage limit, allowing economical transportation from site to site.
